Echo decided to get quiet, as was his habit. He didn't care too much about what anyone thought, but he knew what he felt. It was apart of his power. He could control emotions, and sense them.

Sora watched Scade and sighed letting the feather float to the floor. Noticing a faint red smear on him her eyes widened. "You've been hurt." she murmured gently. Pointing to Echo she let out a sad whine almost. "Wing's broken. Can't fly." she murmured softly. "We won't hurt you, I promise. I'll help fix you up before I fly away."

Echo grew quiet, hating that she even knew of his injuries. It was hardly her problem... He curled back in the back of his cage again, only more careful this time. "He's scared...I feel the similar emotions due to abuse...and that lost puppy feeling..."

Sora shot Echo a look raising one eyebrow. "So he speaks." she muttered sourly. "I thought either you lost your tongue or disowned me." Turning back to Scade she cast him an apologetic look for her harsh tone. "Stubborn brute." she mouthed silently rolling her eyes and pointing at echo.

As Sora spoke he instantly clamped his mouth shut, clenching his iron tasting teeth, some traces of blood still in his mouth. When he opened his mouth to speak again it was a low hiss. "She's my key as much as yours, no need for me to keep open secrets to myself."

Sora rolled her eyes. "Scade is not a key" she growled at him turning to Scade softly. "Scade is a friend. Lost as much as we are." Turning to Kyle she gave him a sharp look, as if trying to get him to smooth Echo's ruffled ego.

Scade reared and screeched as the blind one spoke of him, not only as a she, but as a key. He went bazzurk, kicking back and forth, rearing up and down. He needed Molly, or at least the girl's calming voice again.

Echo jumped back, his face a mask to hide his pain and fear, having used his wrist accidentally. His power kicked in and he tried to calm the gryphon.
